Balticon?
I really want to go to Balticon this year (a side effect of being practically homebound for over two months,) but my injuries are making it difficult. On top of that, the usual suspects I go with aren't going this year.
To those of you going and reading this:

Does anyone have any free space in their room?

More importantly, is anyone going to the con from NYC? Given my injuries, it'll be very hard to travel by myself this year. Traveling companions (especially ones who can help me with my luggage) would be incredibly helpful.

Please comment/IM/call/email me if you can help. (Or if you can't. It's lonely being homebound.)

i could help you out with the room situation, i've roomed up with a person from my area, but we'll be staying at the hotel across the road from the con hotel, however i wonder if that would be difficult due to your injuries having to get from one hotel to another as opposed to being in one place most of the time. if you want to i can email the guy and see if he would mind having another in the room, given that he's a married man, i think he'd apprieciate another male in the room to be less nervous.

I sent you some e-mail about coming to visit, but never received a response (perhaps I used the wrong address)?

I'd like to go Balticon, but it just doesn't fit into my budget (for time or money) this year.

This will be unhelpful to you, but possibly amusing. The following exchange took place between my parents back in December:

Mom: Are we going to Balticon this year?
Dad: That's on the 25th through 27th, isn't it?
Mom: ....Yeah, it is.
Dad: Uh...no.
Mom: Why?
Dad: We're already doing something else.
Me: *waves*
Mom: Oh, that's right! The graduation.

i am not going, obviously, but on a related note i am going to otakon and one of our rooms does have room for you if it's just going to be you. i think i already brought this up to you once before, but just to make it clear!

I'll probably not be able to go :( I may try to visit Sunday or Monday but I dunno. If for some reason someone bails on you you could stay with me, since I live kinda close, but it would be difficult for you. Just as a backup plan though. Will you have internet access while there? Like a friend with a laptop or something? If I decide to come visit I wanna make sure to see you and I don't have a cell right now.

Well, I'm kinda in the same boat with you. I need a ride there on Friday. I will be going from work, though, in the city. So, I don't know if there is any way for us to coordinate on this, or help each other. But, I will keep you in mind if I hear of anything.
